Africa Yoga Project
Power Yoga Canada is proud to support the efforts of the Africa Yoga Project (AYP). A non-profit organization created by a dear friend of Kinndli’s: Paige Elenson. This project is now employing local yoga teachers in Kenya who lead outreach programs in the slums of Nairobi.
Kinndli is an ambassador for the Africa Yoga Project and in the spring of 2009 she was part of a special team of yoga teachers from around the world led by Baron Baptiste who facilitated a teacher training program for 56 local Kenyans.

Our newly trained teachers in Nairobi are now inspiring and spreading the power of transformation that was empowered to them. We have also built three schools in the Masai villages where women and orphaned children are now receiving an education. Support the Africa Yoga Project and grab a Namaste t-shirt, make a donation, sponsor a child or yoga teacher in Nairobi and spread the love!
Sponsorship
We are SO excited to announce that we have confirmed a personal sponsorship of an Africa Yoga Project Teacher in Nairobi, Kenya. PYC will be personally employing Margret (a new up and coming amazing yoga teacher) to teach yoga for free in the slums of Nairobi, bringing hope and possibility to many young street children. Stay tuned for Margret's updates on her daily teaching and how Power Yoga Canada is supporting her in creating change in her life!
